8 reasons why the Paper Towns movie must come to Calcutta!

To all the John Green fans out there: I understand. The jittery “I-am-counting-every-minute-till-the-movie” feeling is taking over. Ever since the trailer dropped we’ve been more excited than ever. And with the promos and the Paper Towns tour going on (not to forget John Green’s overflowing Instagram), we can’t take it anymore. Release already!

Here are eight reasons why nerdfighters and non-nerdfighters alike are dying to see Paper Towns, which releases in the US and other places on July 24.

• The Fault In Our Stars set the expectations bar really high. We laughed, loved and shed buckets of tears. Personally, I think the director (Josh Boone) did a wonderful job recreating TFIOS on screen, including the perfect cast (Ansel Elgort as Gus, Shailene Woodley as Hazel). So we’re expecting BIG from Paper Towns.

• Isaac the hero. We’ve definitely wanted to see Nat Wolff, who played Isaac in TFIOS, as the hero somewhere. Because if it weren’t for Isaac, Gus and Hazel wouldn’t have met! Since there cannot possibly be a sequel to TFIOS, the Paper Towns movie felt us and now we have Nat in the lead as Quentin aka Q. And we love how beautifully Nat fits the Q bill.

• Ben’s “I want to pee” scene. This is for those who suffered fits of laughter when Ben desperately needed to use the washroom while on the road, and ended up relieving himself in beer bottles. We NEED to see if that scene is there or not. If it is, “Much Love to the moon and back, Director!”

• Agloe. Because we want to know what a ‘paper town’ really is. Simple.

• Margo and Q atop the SunTrust bank. We want to hear Margo say, “It’s a paper town, and everybody are paper people.” And Q replying, “Not you.” #MuchFanFeels

• The Road Trip. From every move being timed to almost getting killed by a cow, the 24-hour journey was our favourite part of the book. We all want a trip like that. Though without the looking-for-Margo part. Or maybe with the looking-for-Margo part. That would be living the book. Wouldn’t mind THAT. ;)

• Walt Whitman. And Leaves of Grass. Just another reason.

• Cara Delevingne. Period.

• But really. We don’t need a reason to watch the movie beyond... it’s a John Green film adaptation. And those of you who haven’t read the book yet, hurry.

I am looking forward to Paper Towns because.... Tell t2@abp.in
