What: Sangam Reunion Dinner 2017 organised by St. Xavier’s College Calcutta Alumni Association (SXCCAA), in association with The Telegraph
Where: St. Xavier’s College grounds
When: December 29, 6.30pm onwards
What to expect: Old boys and girls of St. Xavier’s College will be getting into the ‘Woh Lamhe’ mood — the theme of the alumni association’s 32nd reunion. The grounds will wear a Sufi-inspired look. Around 1,000 ex-students and some former teachers are expected to reunite on the campus. The evening will start with a felicitation of a non-teaching staffer. Humsufi, a city-based Sufi band, will set a soulful mood for the celebration before DJ Harish takes over the console for some jiving.
The batch of 1993 will cut a cake to mark the silver jubilee of their graduation. A special corner for the batch will be done up with old pictures.
“Sangam Reunion Dinner is one of the biggest college alumni meets in the city. Apart from the meeting friends and felicitation, there will be some lip-smacking food from Tangerine. Xaverians will be enjoying both Sufi music from Humsufi as well as dance to the beats of DJ Harish,” said Sanjib Koner, honorary secretary, SXCCAA.
Passes: Pick up your pass from the college (Room 5).
