The interiors of Mae Kong — the first new restaurant to open at Kenilworth Hotel (off Shakespeare Sarani) in five years. “Our tag line is ‘Honestly Vegetarian’ because we make vegetarian substitutes for things like fish and oyster sauce and spring roll sheets,” said

A glimpse of the bar.
How did Fried Rice (Rs 295) with pineapple and cashew nuts make it to the menu? “I love pineapple,” said Anjana with a guilty smile. So do executive chef Khemraj Bhatt and junior sous chef Subhankar Chakraborty. Or you could try another fave — Burnt Garlic Fried Rice.
