To look good in wedding photos

The most difficult thing about getting married could well be being photographed the whole day, the whole night. Whatever you feel, the pictures are going to stay. So experts are putting their heads together to tell you how to look the way you should in your wedding pictures, including in Instagram.

• Try the classic red carpet pose, says Glamour. Stand with your hips rotated 45 degrees away from the camera and put your weight on your back foot. Experts are asking you to practise the posture, even if you feel silly. Looking glam is not easy.

• Laugh. Smile. Another piece of advice doing the rounds is that the bride, if she is too tired grinning from ear to ear, should “smile with her eyes”.

• The bronzed look may look beautiful at the event, warns Glamour, but it may go haywire in the pictures. Avoid yellow and orange shades in your make-up.

• One more piece of sensible advice: keep your make-up simple. To look your beautiful best, you also have to look like
you. If you generally do not use too much foundation and lipstick, your wedding hour is not the time to experiment with
contouring or bold red lips, warns an article in Vogue.

• Get your cosmetics ready with some time in your hand. Rehearse the make-up. Even if you are going to the beauty parlour, you will be able to decide your look. It is your wedding.
