Yummy bites, hookah, relaxed ambience and free Wi-fi — the third outlet of Mintelaa, which opens today, could soon become your comfort zone. The 130-seater cafe and kitchen at Gorky Terrace, spread over 4,000sq ft, is divided into three sections where you can chill all day. The menu has Indian, Chinese, Italian and Continental cuisines.
“We wanted the name to be related to mint, which represents freshness, and we use mint in almost all our dishes and beverages,” said Shrinivas Khirahari, who co-owns Mintelaa with Rohit Karnawat and Amit Bajoria.
The other two Mintelaa outlets are in Alipore and Dr Sarat Bannerjee Road , apart from an Italian counter at RCGC.
THE DEN: If you’re more of an indoor person, this 54-seater room is ideal. It has a rustic feel with a brick inlay and rugged look. The seating is spread over eight booths where you can eat, puff shisha and watch matches with your gang on the big screen.
THE GLASS ROOM: Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head... that’s the song that’s going to linger on your mind while chilling here. This 24-seater zone has a glass roof that has water flowing over it to keep the interiors cool. #MonsoonFeels
