I follow the basic cleansing, toning and moisturising routine regularly. Apart from that, I try and use aloe vera gel and turmeric for my skin whenever possible. It takes care of acne, pimples and all kinds of skin issues. One thing I do without fail though is splash my face with rose water at least three to four times a day, especially when I get back from a gruelling day out in the sun. Also, I have a lot of salad vegetables like raw cucumber, tomatoes and carrots. |
I am a 27-year-old woman. I have oily skin, and lots of whiteheads and blackheads on my face. Could you please tell me how to remove these at home?

Use exfoliating granules on your skin regularly. You can make these with dried orange peels. Grind them and add an equal quantity of Fuller’s earth and sandalwood powder. Mix in rose water to make a smooth paste and apply on affected areas, scrubbing off gently. Wash off with cold water. Avoid heavy creams and moisturisers and above all keep your skin clean.
I am a 30-year-old working woman. I have combination skin. Since summer is round the corner, could you please suggest a refreshing mask that I can use throughout this season and preferably just once a week — on Sunday — so I can start the week with clean and glowing skin?

Take 2 tsp sandalwood powder, 1 tsp honey, a few drops of lemon juice and 2 tsp china clay. Mix all the ingredients with rose water and some orange juice and apply to clean skin. When dry, wash off with honey water.
