I religiously follow the cleansing-toning-moisturising routine. In fact I do it twice every day. Apart from this, the only natural ingredients that are a part of my skincare routine are besan (gram flour) and yoghurt. I mix the two and use it as a facial scrub. The combination makes for a great natural home-made exfoliator. Water intake and a healthy diet, of course, are essential for glowing skin but I have to admit that I am a bit careless when it comes to drinking water. However, I love vegetables and make sure I have a lot of them. I also try and include fruits in my diet. |

Remember, lips require nourishing externally as well as internally. Take 1tsp mashed banana, two drops of coconut oil and apply as a mask on the lips once a day for a week and you will see a marked difference.
I am 30 years old. I have a fair complexion. My lips used to be nice and rosy earlier but started getting dark after the age of 26. I avoid lipsticks and do not use cosmetics too much. I only use a lip balm. Despite this my lips have become dark. Could you please suggest a natural remedy to get rid of this problem?

Adequate moisture, and vitamins are essential for good skin and the same goes for the lips as they need hydrating. Take a little coconut oil and apply to the lips 2-3 times a day. We often drink water only when we feel thirsty and even that isn’t as often as we should. Try and improve your diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
