I am 27. I have hair that falls a little below my shoulders. But during summer it falls flat no matter what shampoo I use. Please help.

After shampooing, rinse the hair with a leave-in conditioner made from 1 cup of strained tea water to which you have added the juice of half a lemon. Let it dry naturally and see how soft, shiny and bouncy your hair becomes.

I am a 28-year-old woman. I am overweight right now and currently working on it. However, I have this darkened area around my neck which just doesn’t seem to go. What can I do to lighten it?

Make this vatna and use it daily for 10 days. Mix 1cup oatmeal, 4 tbs lemon peel powder, 2 tbs rice powder and 2 tbs sandalwood powder and store in a jar. Take the quantity needed for one application, add some cold milk to it and apply on the affected area. When it is semi-dry, scrub in a rotating manner and wash off.

I always keep my skin clean and well-hydrated. I sometimes use a fruit mask made from some of the outer rough peel of a pineapple, apple, pear or peach along with some of the fruit pulp. I add 2 tbs oatmeal or besan and 1 tbs olive oil. This goes into the mixer and then I gently massage the paste on the face and leave it on for 15 minutes. I rinse off with cold water and follow it with a moisturiser.

For my hair, I mix equal proportions of vinegar and honey in half a cup of warm water, let it stand for a few minutes and then apply it to my hair. I leave it for a few minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Then I shampoo gently, massaging the hair roots. This adds volume and bounce.

Apart from this, I recommend a good night’s sleep, lots of water, exercise and a big smile to keep you glowing.
