I don’t do anything in particular as part of my skincare routine. However, on weekends I apply a face pack made out of turmeric, a little bit of curd and cucumber. I also use an almond eye-cream from Biotique. |
I am 15. I used to have thick, black, lustrous hair but over the past few months, I’ve been losing hair at an alarming rate. My hair has become rough, dry and brownish. I have been using medicated oil and different kinds of shampoos but nothing has helped. I am very worried. Please suggest a remedy with ingredients easily available at home.

Try and use a good quality brahmi amla oil to massage your hair twice a week followed with turban therapy. You can apply the following hair pack which will add shine and softness to your hair. Grind 20 hibiscus flowers and add to 2tsp of amla, reetha and shikakai. Add half a cup of yoghurt and 1tsp olive oil. Apply this remarkable hair mask onto the scalp and hair for an hour and shampoo normally followed with a leave-on hair conditioner of one glass of water to which you have added 1tsp of honey. This will make your tresses super soft in no time at all.
I am a 16-year-old girl. My face has become very rough, especially my nose. Also, my neck is darker than the rest of my body. Can you please suggest a natural remedy with easily available ingredients? I am in school so I can’t do anything that’s cumbersome and time-consuming.

Skincare is never time-consuming or cumbersome if done regularly. You only need to be disciplined about it just like studying. Make a scrub with the following things: 50gms red lentil powder, 20gms sandalwood powder, 50gms Fuller’s earth. Mix these ingredients and add the petals of two marigolds to this mixture and store in a jar. After cleaning the face with rose water, take 2tsp of the scrub and mix with rose water and milk and make a smooth paste. Apply all over the face and neck and leave on till dry. Dab with water and scrub in a rotating manner gently. Wash off with cold water. This should be done daily for results.
