Satarupa Pyne I have very thick hair that tends to become rough if not cared for. I was recently prescribed Moroccan oil, which turned out to be an excellent moisturiser. I also apply curd as a natural conditioner as well as a home-made hibiscus flower paste, which prevents hair fall and retains the hair’s natural colour. Cucumber paste keeps my skin looking fresh and I cleanse it with milk at times. |
I am a 17-year-old boy. I have lots of pimples. What can I do to treat them and also make sure they don’t leave marks? Please suggest something simple because if I do elaborate things for my skin, my sister will laugh at me.

Forget your sister, if you don’t take care of your skin everyone will laugh at you. You need some lifestyle changes combined with a regular skincare programme. Drink at least 10 glasses of water daily and add fruits, vegetables and salads in your daily diet. Avoid fried food, aerated waters and sweets for some time. Keep your skin squeaky clean. Mix about 100ml of rose water with a pinch of camphor and wipe your skin with this two to three times a day. Also, apply the following pack at night, only on the acne — 1 tsp multani mitti mixed with the your camphor-rose water mix. Leave it overnight.
I am a 41-year-old woman. I recently lost a lot of weight. Is it possible to get rid of the stretch marks this has caused?
Ronita
Massage the skin with pure almond and coconut oil mixed together in equal quantities, daily at night. This will take time, perseverance and patience as stretch marks are very difficult to get rid of.
