My basic mantra is to drink lots of water to wash out all the toxins from my body. I oil my hair at least once a week. I believe in minimal make-up and whenever I do I make sure to remove all of it before hitting the sack. As much as I believe in natural products, I think one should always keep a sunscreen handy. It’s a must. |
I am 29. It’s been a year now since I have stopped using soap. I want to know if honey is a good cleanser? After cleaning my face with honey, I follow up with rose water for toning. I have combination skin. Is this ok? Or is soap absolutely essential? What else should I do to complement my skincare routine?

Never use soap on your face — it is meant for bathing. Honey is a good cleanser and moisturiser, you can add 1 tsp of oatmeal to 2 tsp honey and use it to cleanse and exfoliate your skin daily.
I am a 14-year-old girl. I have dry, and slow growing hair. They are curly and tangle-prone and after shampooing they become unmanageable and fly all over the place. I am also suffering from hair loss — all year round. I regularly oil my hair. And sometimes I use milk mixed with honey before washing my hair. Could you please help me out with an easy remedy to make my hair manageable?

There are many products available in the market for dry and tangled hair. Use a mayonnaise pack after oiling and leave on for 30 minutes. Shampoo and condition your hair regularly with herbal products suited to your hair type. Also include almonds, walnuts and dairy products in your diet as well as lots of fresh fruits and green vegetables.
