Started in the post-pandemic phase by entrepreneur Sanhita De Moulik in an effort to help weavers and artisans of Bengal’s villages who found it difficult to get buyers, Twine Tales, a boutique in Hindustan Park, has now emerged as a veritable fashion hub of sustainable products focusing on hand-crafted garments and accessories for the discerning, sophisticated buyer. A boutique that pays glorious tribute to Bengal’s rich heritage of handloom, it is ushering in the festive season with an exclusive collection of drapes for the millennial woman. It showcases an impressive array of handloom saris that marry modern sensibilities with traditional familiarity. The designs which are mainly inspired by nature, tell stories of rural Bengal and of the art, life and livelihood of its artisans. The blend of chic and classic designs weave magic in the six yards and bear testimony to the skill and craftsmanship of these rural artisans who create each piece painstakingly and give each creation its own identity. The Telegraph features some exclusive designs from the festive collection.
