This beautiful green traditional South silk sari has been styled by adding a gold belt, giving it a contemporary look. Make-up pro Kaushik has completed the look by adding a peach coral eyeshadow with pink lipstick and blush. The hair has been twisted in a bun and this look is apt for a morning wedding occasion. “Pista green is by far the most beautiful colour. And, a sari with a belt never fails to look dashing! This look can not only be worn to a formal get-together, but also to a dressy occasion!” said Richa.

A gorgeous Bengali look with this traditional Assamese sari is perfect for a get-together with friends or even a wedding function. The red outfit gets a glam lift with dramatic black eyes, a nude lip colour, shiny cheeks and a puff-bun. “Red is always a classic! Teaming this simple beautiful sari with a shimmery blouse has changed the look of the sari altogether. Never thought I could wear this sari to not only a simple occasion but also a cocktail party!” said Richa.

This black sari with cow motifs can be worn to an evening party. If you don’t want to wear a silk sari on a warm summer day, then this gorgeous sari is your go-to wedding outfit. Kaushik has given Richa shades of maroon matte lipstick, dramatic eyes, shiny cheeks with puff-bun for this look. “Black never ceases to impress! The border and the colour contrast of the sari sounds too basic, yet looks something much more than ordinary. This sari is like magic, a black sari never seemed so chic and classy . This is a very comfortable piece and I could wear this all the time,” said Richa.

A very traditional Ilkal sari with a silk border and pallu has been paired with a black shirt-blouse to give a modern look. Smokey eyes, coffee-brown lips and mocha cheeks with twisted bun gives a bold look to rock an evening cocktail party or even a brunch with your friends. “A fusion of retro and street style never fails to impress me. In the modern world, keeping up with the trend, and also keeping the old-school sass alive isn’t easy; this really boosts my confidence. Pulling this look off while keeping my comfort intact was the best experience,” said Richa.

A very classy yellow Kalamkari sari with a thin-strap blouse has been styled by adding a small black bindi and soft curls to give an old-era fashion vibes. Dark brown lips and black-brown smokey eyes match the look. “Ochre yellow and the print seems like a not–so-good combo unless you put it together! This is by far the strangest yet beautiful combination, and made me feel like I wore something out of the box. The confidence when I walk in this impeccable sari is extraordinary!” said Richa.
