Par-tee time with young turks at RCGC

Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC) recently hosted the Milky Moo RCGC Challenge, organised by Tiger Sports and sponsored by Milk Mantra, which is the fourth leg of the 2018 season of the Indian Golf Union East Zone Feeder & Sub Junior Tour. An endeavour to encourage greater adolescent participation in the sport, the tournament for under-18 players consisted of five age groups each among boys and girls, ranging from A to E. Twenty-four players will be chosen from the eastern zone for the national final. t2 visited the course on the final day to catch up with the budding golfers.

The winners of the respective groups were (l-r) Karishma Samadder (Group C), Prasidh Dhandhania (Group C), Varish Mohta (Group E), Anaahat Kaur Bindra (Group D), Aroush Tagore (Groups A and B combined), Samaira Chitlangia (Group E), Pinku Das (Group B), Ribhav Verma (Group D) and Yaalisai Verma (Groups A and B combined).

This girl gang of golfers — (l-r) Anaahat Kaur Bindra from La Martiniere for Girls; Karishma Samadder from Auxilium Convent School, Siliguri; and Navyaa Nahata and Kashissh Khanna, both from Modern High School for Girls — had just finished the third day of strokes when they posed for the t2 camera.

Ribhav, a Class VI student of Army Public School, Bengdubi, makes his last swing of the tournament.
