Arbaaz Khan - Actor Family, Friends And Good Food AS TOLD TO CHITRA PAPNAI Published 09.12.06, 12:00 AM

If I’m not shooting on weekends, I love to spend some quality time with family and friends. I usually go to our farmhouse at Panvel, which is a great chill-out zone for me. My family and friends often join me there. Another favourite weekend pre-occupation of mine is chalking out a plan for my four-year-old son, Arhaan. On weekends, I take him out for swimming or for a small picnic, which he enjoys a lot.

I usually get up at around seven in the morning, read the newspapers and then hit the gym. Whenever I’m free, I love playing games on the computer or surfing the Internet. I also enjoy reading books. These could be books of any type — fiction, non-fiction, biographies or motivational books — depending on the frame of mind I am in. Since I’m a big movie buff, I like watching movies of all genres. I usually prefer watching them in a movie theatre, especially since so many cool multiplexes have come up in the city.

Though I’m a bad cook, I am a foodie by default and I love to gorge on all sorts of cuisines — Indian, Chinese or Italian. Often on weekends either my friends come over to my place or I go to their house for dinner. But if I intend to eat out, my favourites are restaurants like Olive Bar & Kitchen, China White and Thai Pavilion at the Taj President Hotel, all of which serve amazing food.

While spending time with family and friends is the highlight of my weekends, I also feel that the best part about weekend breaks is that you can just unwind and spend time with yourself.
