My weekends begin on Saturday evening when the mood for a free Sunday sets in. Throughout the week, my work keeps me busy as I have concerts to attend. Therefore, I make it a point to ensure that Saturdays are relatively stress-free with less work to do and more to enjoy. And on Sundays, I like to unwind and relax at home. I am quite a homebody and love to spend time with my family.

I?m inspired by the simple things in life. When I am not working, I love to watch television, my favourite serials being The Bold and the Beautiful and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Though I?m not a movie buff, on weekends I do like to watch a lot of television and keep myself updated.

Another major pastime is listening to Western classical music. But the one thing which I really love doing is cooking ? in fact, people say that I am a very good cook. Both my husband and I are foodies and love to eat out wherever we go. Earlier, we also enjoyed inviting musician friends to our place and treating them to authentic Mughlai cuisine. We have entertained many legendary musicians ? Ali Akbar Khan, Nikhil Banerjee and so on.

On Sundays, I also love to go out shopping with my daughter. My husband often complains about this and in fact, hates accompanying me for shopping. I get invitations from all the big stores in Mumbai and whenever I go out, I end up buying saris and jewellery. This is true not only in India but also abroad, as I make it a point to check out the stores, especially in New York. Since I have a passion for classical music, I also like attending classical music shows. This apart, we invite some of our close friends home over the weekends where we spend time bonding with one other.
