In spite of the usual assumption that models are total party animals, I am, in fact, quite a home-bird. After a busy week, I really look forward to my weekends, not to party but just relax and spend time doing the things I really enjoy. Like read, watch TV and taking naps whenever possible. At times, I do have work lined up even on Saturdays and Sundays, but when I am free, lazy weekends are what I enjoy.
I get up late in the morning, read the newspapers, watch the news, read and have lunch. I can?t sleep in the afternoon, so I generally call friends over for a chat. We may also play Scrabble or listen to music. This may get stretched into an outing ? catching a movie, hanging out at Priya or PVR and dining out at one of my favourite Chinese or Thai restaurants. Sometimes, we even go out for lunch, though usually I prefer to have lunch at home with my folks. I try and spend some time with them on weekends, either at home or out for a movie and shopping with them.
I don?t like going to discotheques, though, I may go out with friends to a pub for a drink once in a while. On the whole, though, unless a close friend has organised a party or I?m getting together with friends to celebrate somebody?s birthday, I don?t like to stir out. To me, my weekends spell my time, a time to relax and unwind and be with myself, my family and my friends. They also mean a time to catch up on lost sleep. I love sleeping and can never have enough of it, so an ideal weekend, for me, is one that lets me snooze as much as I want to. The last thing I do on the weekend is curl up with a good book at night before declaring lights-out.
