Jim Beam Ginger Shrimp
This is the perfect dish for those seeking a lighter starter. Perfectly fried shrimps are served with celery, pepper, onion, and leeks — fresh flavours which perfectly cut through the richer prawn taste. A creamy turmeric and whisky sauce is a great visual and flavourful addition to the plate.

Vijay Yadav

Jokes, gags, laughter … and whisky were on the menu at Bakstage last Friday as Vijay Yadav performed his new stand-up show, whilst the bar previewed their whisky themed For the Love of Scotch festival. There truly is something for everyone on the menu, whether you’re a whisky drinking veteran or this is your first foray into the world of the good stuff! t2 tried chef Sachin Verma’s new whisky-infused menu, crafted to coincide with World Scotch Whisky Day.

Talli Murgh

This delicious chicken dish is wonderfully tender thanks to its overnight soak in whisky, which also provides amazing flavour. The chicken is served with onions, mushrooms, and a variety of sauces. A standout is the mint chutney which serves up a hint of freshness to complement the meat. The dish is flambeed with vodka at the table, for both spectacular visuals and a tasty char on the meat.

Chocolate and Coffee Whisky Cake

Rich, dark, and alcoholic, this chocolate and coffee cake is the perfect end to the meal for those with a sweet tooth.

Mint Julep

This Mint Julep is at first wonderfully cool and refreshing, before a hit of bitters. A combination of bourbon, sugar syrup, mint leaves and bitters is the perfect drink for a hot, humid day. Quite a contrast to the Hot Toddy, Bakstage have crafted the perfect cocktails for any occasion!

Hot Toddy

This warming cocktail is the perfect throat-soother for the monsoon season. A blend of bourbon whisky, hot water, cloves, lemon juice, and brown sugar, this perfectly spiced cocktail slips smoothly down the throat and warms the soul.

New York Sour

Made with bourbon, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and red wine, this classic cocktail has a striking look with its distinctive layers. Perhaps a more acquired taste than Bakstage’s other cocktails, you can certainly taste the alcohol in this one!
