“What happens when women with the same spirit come together? Well, the start of something for sure,” said Sharmistha Roy, co-owner of Le Chef, a cosy 28-seater multi-cuisine eatery inside the compound that houses Spencer’s on Rashbehari Avenue. Conceptualised and run by Sharmistha and Sayanti Ray, who are teachers by profession, along with Beli Naha, a singer, Le Chef is the result of the shared passion for food of the three friends.

Not just food, they also share a zeal for fashion, and hence their first venture is an ethnicwear boutique named Shabeki in Jadavpur.
