How do I ensure that the make-up on my face does not end up with a different colour from my body. What kind of body make-up should I apply? During summer, is there any way to ensure that my make-up stays in place?

Ayushi

Creating a perfect base is the most important step. Base to most people means a mask or foundation but that’s not necessarily the case. It should never look like a mask. If it does, then you have applied too much. Foundation needs to be blended properly, especially under the jaw line, into the hairline, on the ear lobes, corners of the nose and mouth and over and under the eyes.

Foundation primer: The real trick to making foundation look better and stay longer is to apply a primer first.

Powder: Powder will help seal your make-up. It also eliminates shine.

On a hot day, a quick spritz with a fine mist of water spray, not only feels nice on the skin, it also resets your foundation.

Body make-up is great to cover up any skin issues on your arms, legs, torso or back. Just as you want your foundation shade to match your natural skin tone, the body make-up you use should match the rest of your body. You need to make sure your shade also matches your neck. Use a latex sponge to apply your body make-up. Blend into your skin until the colour begins to disappear into your natural skin tone. Next, take a powder brush and dip into powder, tap off excess and then blend in circular motion until the look is complete.

Check yourself in the mirror to make sure that you’ve got even coverage.
