The biggest clubs of Calcutta descended on Mayo Road recently to be a part of Maidan Sports Carnival 2018 presented by Dalhousie Athletic Club in association with t2, and what a carnival it was! Eight disciplines — badminton, snooker, darts, carrom, lawn bowls, 8-a-side cricket, 5-a-side football and air-rifle shooting — combined with 21 clubs made it a sporting extravaganza in the truest sense. The Bengal Rowing Club took top honours with a stellar show in badminton, darts and cricket, while Friends Sporting Union did well in carrom, darts and badminton singles to finish as the runner-up club.
