Party

Who says that a night out only calls for electronic music and a packed dance floor? Mojo, the party pad at Aauris hotel, saw singer Nikhita Gandhi at Bollywood Acoustic Night Live in association with t2 on May 11. Revellers sang along and swayed to Nikhita’s renditions of The humma song, Ittefaq se (Raat baaki) and of course Raabta. “I had a blast! I was really nervous in the beginning because it has been a while since I have done such an intimate show. It is quite challenging because you have to keep the entire audience engaged. But I’d rather give them fun and entertainment than something new,” said the singer. t2 joined in on the live gig.

Jager anyone? As the acoustic night kept going, the Jagerbombs kept flowing from the bar.
Some of the guests captured moments from the performance on their phone cameras.
Kanika Jhajharia was glammed up in her denim off-shoulder dress and black leather boots. Don’t miss the tattoo on her leg! “Nikhita gave a fantastic performance. I loved how she got the entire audience involved in her songs. I will definitely attend her show the next time she performs,” said the businesswoman.
Sana Ahmed went all-black in her metal-studded jacket and fitted pants. The black studded heels are a perfect match with her outfit. “I loved her performance of Raabta. I loved it so much that I stayed till the end,” said the fashion designer.
We spotted DJ Rishi (second from right) enjoying the acoustic session with his friends (l-r) Saurav Gupta, Justine Ann and Roxanne Michelle Peterson. “It was a very nice gig, very different from any other scene happening in the city. Mojo was very cosy and had a crazy vibe. Music is all about keeping the crowd happy,” said DJ Rishi.
Neha Jhunjhunwala was “dragged” to the party by her friends. “I ended up having a great time. I am a fan of live performances and this was my first time in Mojo and I really liked it,” said the pastry chef.
