Arijit Dutta (right) and his wife Koela Roy had taken their tiny tot Sridatri for an outing. “We just discovered this sweet festival. I am a sweet lover and have eaten too many sweets to even remember! My daughter was tempted to try some but she is too young,” said Arijit, operational manager, R.K. Websolutions.
Vandita Srivastava enjoyed the treats with son Akshat and husband Rechir. “I am not much of a fan of sweets but some of the items were quite nice. I really liked the Kheer Roll from Mishti Ram, which is why I remember the name,” laughed the homemaker.
Jhilik Banerjee (right) was showing her friend Shikha Tomar around. “My friend is from Delhi and she was absolutely excited about the Bhapa Pithe from the live stand. It is great to have such sweet delicacies once a year,” said Jhilik, an employee of Cognizant Technological Solutions.
What really captured the crowd’s attention was the live pithe station that was selling warm Bhapa Pithe. The mixture of gur, coconut flakes and chhana cooked over steam revealed some sweet goodness!
