City Centre Salt Lake and New Town ushered in the Bengali new year with Subha Poila, in association with t2. No celebration is complete without good food and that was the focus here, too, with stalls dishing out a delectable fare across a variety of cuisines.

“I came here because I knew there was a food festival going on, and that’s thanks to t2,” said Madhulica Bagchi, who came to City Centre Salt Lake all the way from Mukundapur, and opted for Chicken Biryani from India Restaurant.
“I was craving Chicken Shawarma for quite sometime and today I got the opportunity thanks to the Shawarma Nation stall here,” said Amelia Ghosh (right), store manager at La Thai Spa, City Centre New Town, who dropped by with friend Steey.
“We had come here (City Centre New Town) to hang out and had no idea that there was a food festival on. We had a lassi and packed Mango Patishapta from Pithe Bilashi,” said friends Rupdeep Roy and Gargi Choudhury from Howrah.
“I was at City Centre Salt Lake looking for a place to have lunch when I came across this festival. I had Mutton Biryani from Nizam’s and Pineapple Juice from Sikdar Juice, Shyambazar,” said Wang Shixin, a businessman from Luoyang, China.
