If you feel like something sweet and sinful, you are sure to enjoy putting together these easy-as-pie recipes with really short ingredient lists. And for all those who are missing a sweet tooth, Team YOU promises to come back with quick savoury recipes.

Nutella cake

Ingredients
3 eggs, 1 cup Nutella

Method
Beat the eggs thoroughly for at least 10 minutes using a hand mixer, until light and lemony in colour. Put the Nutella in a glass bowl and microwave for 30 seconds till it changes texture. Add spoonfuls of it into the egg and mix until totally incorporated.
Preheat the oven to 170° Celsius and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into it and bake for 20-25 minutes until set. Insert a knife and if it comes out clean, your cake is ready. Cool before slicing. This cake tastes best cold.

Strawberry sorbet

Ingredients
500gm ripe strawberries, 1/4 cup honey

Method
Hull and halve strawberries. Spread them on a tray and put in the freezer for an hour. Then take the tray out and blend the strawberries with the honey. Spread out the pulp in a shallow tray and freeze overnight. The next day, scoop out the sorbet and serve. This is a refreshing dessert and one that is just right for the hot summer days ahead.

Oatmeal cookies

Ingredients
2 large, very ripe bananas, 1 cup quick oats

Method
Mash the bananas with a fork and mix in the oats. Let it rest for 10 minutes. If the mixture is too runny, add more oats to correct the texture. Preheat the oven to 160° Celsius. Grease a cookie sheet, dollop tablespoons of the mixture on the sheet. You can also embellish the cookies with a handful of choco chips or walnut bits and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Bake for 15 minutes. The cookies are so healthy, you can tuck in generous helpings for breakfast!

Maple souffle

Ingredients
2 eggs, 1/3 cup maple syrup

Method
In a small bowl, whisk together two egg yolks and maple syrup. In a stainless steel bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly fold the maple syrup mixture into the whipped egg whites. Pour into four ramekins and place them on a baking sheet. Place sheet in the oven and immediately turn up the temperature to 190° Celsius. Bake for 10 minutes, or until puffed up. If you can’t find maple syrup, try it with honey. Souffles are for all seasons.
