Wheat duty to go up

New Delhi: The government is considering raising the import duty on wheat from 20 per cent to boost sowing in the ongoing rabi season and support domestic prices. Last month, the government had doubled the import duty on wheat to 20 per cent to curb cheap shipments and give positive price signal to farmers. PTI

Hyderabad: Sun Pharma has started recalling two batches of Riomet (metformin hydrochloride) Oral Solution voluntarily from the US market because of microbial contamination. PTI

New Delhi: Around 153 initial public offers hit the Indian stock market this year, raising $11.6 billion, according to an EY report that says activity “looks good” for 2018 as well. PTI

New Delhi: The government has constituted a committee to take a view on the complaints filed against CMDs, chief executives, functional directors and non-official directors of state-owned enterprises, PSU banks, financial institutions and insurance companies. PTI

New Delhi: The Azim Premji Trust, along with other promoter entities, has sold its 2.73 per cent stake for over Rs 5,700 crore in a buyback offer. PTI
