Calcutta, Feb. 7: Ramkrishna Forgings plans to invest around Rs 150 crore to set up a value-added export-oriented forging unit in Haldia.

Managing director Naresh Jalan said the company is looking for a suitable plot in Haldia. The unit will produce steel forgings like finished crank shafts and front axle beams. “We are also looking into the investment potential for a steel plant in Kharagpur as an upstream integration for our forging units,” he said.
