Reliance Jio has announced new post-paid family plans styled Jio Plus that are designed to attract new users to its rapidly expanding 5G network. The plan could accelerate the churn with more customers opting to migrate to 5G connectivity and offers the benefit of a month’s free lookin period.

The 5G postpaid family plans start from Rs 399 per month offering 75GB of data. Three additional add-on connections can be taken for Rs 99 per sim. The effective monthly charge, including add-on connections, works out to Rs 174 per sim. The Rs 699 per month plan offers up to Rs 100 GB and includes subscriptions to streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. The postpaid plans also offer international roaming in 129 countries along with calls to India at Rs 1 per minute with Wifi calling on international roaming.

The plans also offer security deposit waiver for JioFiber users, corporate employees, existing non-Jio postpaid users and customers with credit cards. “The idea behind launching Jio Plus is to offer exciting new benefits and experiences to discerning postpaid users. “Jio has further strengthened its network experience by expanding True 5G to 331 cities. After having serviced over 430 million customers, that includes millions of satisfied postpaid users, there cannot be a more opportune time to welcome millions of new postpaid customers,” said Akash M Ambani, chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.

“Many postpaid users want to be convinced about the service experience and the ease of switching to a new service provider. The free trial with Jio plans to address these issues,” he said. “We have tried to design a gold standard service experience and we hope that every postpaid user in India will make full use of it,” he added.
