New Delhi, Nov. 19: Hewlett Packard India Pvt Ltd today introduced a server for less than Rs 1 lakh targeted at the telecommunications, banking, finance and public sector companies. The company claims that this product priced at Rs 94,900 has been designed to give maximum productivity and efficiency at minimum cost and effort. Simultaneously, the company announced the introduction of HP Systems Insight Manager, the next generation in platform management.

Designed and manufactured at Singapore for rapidly-growing emerging businesses, the new HP ProLiant ML150 server based on Intel Xeon processor combines reliability, performance and easy installation, while maximising expandability with extra memory and storage capacity and scalability with their growing business.

The product is the first of it new ProLiant 100 series servers, designed and built for the small and medium business market.

“Most growing and emerging companies deploy servers for file and print, email and internet access. But as information and business needs change, they require servers that support more complex and enterprise-like applications,” said Vaibhav Phadnis, country manager, Industry Standard Servers, HP India.
