Calcutta, Nov. 6: BPO and IT company Genpact’s net profit declined 33.57 per cent in the third quarter ended September to $46.7 million from $70.3 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Revenues grew 9.9 per cent to $588 million from $534.9 million in the same period a year ago.

Genpact said its revenues from global clients increased 12.9 per cent led by a growth in the life sciences, consumer product goods, insurance and infrastructure, manufacturing and services verticals. BPO revenues from global clients have shot up 15.8 per cent.

Earnings from global clients constitute around 80 per cent of the company’s total revenues.

Genpact has maintained its earlier revenue guidance of $2.24-$2.28 billion for the current fiscal and said the figures would hover at the higher end.

It expects adjusted operating income margins to be at the lower end of the previously announced range of 15–15.5 per cent, reflecting increased investment in client-facing teams and capabilities.
