Mumbai, Oct. 17: Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) today posted a 32 per cent jump in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at 534.23 crore against Rs 403.44 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s total assets grew 23 per cent to Rs 89,670 crore from Rs 72,665 crore a year ago. “The quarter saw a very strong demand for housing loans. The loan book as on September 30, 2008 amounted to Rs 81,192 crore against Rs 62,020 crore a year ago, an increase of 31 per cent,” HDFC said.
Hyderabad, Oct. 17: Satyam Computer Services today lowered its revenue guidance in dollar terms by 5 per cent even as it posted handsome growth in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30. Satyam reported a 42 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 580.85 crore from Rs 409.09 crore in the year-ago period.
