Tata Metaliks merger

Calcutta, April 10: Tata Metaliks Ltd (TML) and Tata Metaliks Kubota Pipes Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of TML, have approved a proposal of merger with Tata Steel through a scheme of arrangement. Based on valuations received from independent consultants, four shares of Tata Steel will be issued for every 29 shares held by the public shareholders of TML after the arrangement is approved by the court.

New Delhi, April 10: The Supreme Court today directed the special CBI court to “postpone till Tuesday” the proceedings against Essar Group promoter Ravi Ruia, who has been summoned as an accused in the case of 2G spectrum allocation in 2002.

New Delhi, April 10: State-run ONGC has joined hands with Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd and the Tripura government to set up a 1.3-million-tonne fertiliser unit in the state.
