North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) has floated tenders to purchase 1,709 distribution transformers of different capacities within three months to replace burnt ones within 24 hours in urban areas and 72 hours in villages.

The firm supplies power to northern areas like Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saran, Champaran, Hajipur, Saharsa, Supaul and others. “The firm has floated three different tenders to purchase distribution transformers. The deal is expected to be sealed in the next three months,” Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited deputy general manager (public relations) H.R. Pandey said.
