Open movie theatre plan for Maidan

An open movie theatre centre will be made at Patna's Gandhi Maidan for which an approval to the expression of interest (EOI) was given on Monday at the smart city meeting held under the chairmanship of Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishor.

Patna: An open movie theatre centre will be made at Patna's Gandhi Maidan for which an approval to the expression of interest (EOI) was given on Monday at the smart city meeting held under the chairmanship of Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishor.

Several other decisions were taken at the meet of board of directors of Patna Smart City Limited which was attended by Patna mayor Sita Sahu, Patna district magistrate Kumar Ravi, Patna Municipal Corporation commissioner Keshav Ranjan Prasad, representatives from Project Management Consultant Eptisa and other officials of urban development and finance departments.

At the meet, the approval was given to implement the Patna Smart City master system integration system (MSI) and directions were given to the agency concerned to issue tenders regarding this by March 15.

Under the Rs 170 crore smart city master system integration project, plans related to strengthening transport infrastructure, preparing a mechanism to solve the problems of the common man and providing citizens benefits through information technology (IT) would be taken up, Kishor said after the meeting, adding: "The project would benefit more than 16.84 lakh people residing in Patna area."

Under the project's smart solution, a command control would be established, the divisional commissioner said, adding: "Directions have been issued to the agency to make arrangements for closed-circuit television cameras, LEDs for streets, sensors to impart information related to environment, setting up WiFi zones and waste disposal and disaster management."

For the upcoming integrated command control centre, Kishor directed the agency to carry out a survey work for site selection.

The Monday's meet approved situation analysis report (SAR) of 10 projects prepared by Spanish company Eptisa of which the important ones are development of Mandiri drain, development of Hardinge Park, re-development of Adalatganj area, Jan Seva Kendra at Beer Chand Patel Marg and works related to Child and Educational development projects.

Kishor said feasibility reports would be prepared for all the projects after SAR nod.
