Munger, June 19: Delhi police have accelerated the investigation into the alleged fake LLB degree racket of former Delhi law minister Jitendra Singh Tomar.
On Thursday, two Delhi police officers, led by inspector Arvind Singh, reached Dhapari village, under the jurisdiction of Shampur police outpost in Haveli Kharagpur sub-division of the district, to verify the local home address of Tomar as a student of Part-I, Part-II and Part-III LLB course at Bishwanath Singh Institute of Legal Studies in Munger.
Assistant sub-inspector Sabal Kishore Singh of Shampur police outpost assisted the Delhi team.
The officer-in-charge of Shampur police outpost, Rakesh Kumar, said: "The Delhi police officers found Tomar's local home address to be false and no villager could recognise Tomar's photo." Tomar had mentioned his residential local address as Dhapari village in his admission form at Bishwanath Singh Institute of Legal Studies in 1994.
On Friday, Delhi police interrogated acting law college principal R.K. Mishra, college right to information in-charge Janardan Yadav, head clerk Krishnandan Singh and assistants Nawal Singh and Ashok Singh at Hauz Khas police station for the third day.
