Patna: The post-mortem report of additional municipal commissioner Uday Krishna is inconclusive on whether he committed suicide or was murdered, police sources said on Sunday.
Uday's body was found split in two on the tracks near Gulzarbagh railway station last week.
"The post-mortem report which we have received has not indicated whether it was murder or suicide," said a senior police officer who is party of the investigation into Uday's death. "The doctors will provide us a final report within a week."
Uday's family members of the doctor had lodged a murder case. They had, however, also said that Uday was depressed for the past few months as he was not happy with the work at Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC).
"We have come to know that on earlier occasions too, Uday had left home but later returned after his son called him," said Patrakar Nagar police station house officer Sanjeet Kumar Sinha.
