Potter’s magic of another kind
As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, The Conclave and Ganges Art Gallery present Conversations in Clay, an exhibition of crockery and ceramics created by potters of Bengal. It features both limited and open edition fine china with images by modern and contemporary masters of Indian art, including Jamini Roy, Jogen Chowdhury and Paresh Maity. Also on show are unique ceramic works by artists from Calcutta and Santiniketan, showcasing the versatility of the medium in its entire aesthetic splendour.

Book LAUNCH

July 20 at Oxford Bookstore, Park Street; 6pm: Oxford Bookstore, Calcutta and Woodland Publishers present the launch of A Journey through Nicobars — An intriguing book on the history of Nicobar Islands Pre and Post the Tsunami — by Dr Tilak Ranjan Bera, former surgeon commander, Indian Navy. The book will be released by noted filmmaker Goutam Ghosh.
