Seven people were arrested on Monday in connection with a complaint related to a CCTV camera in a women's changing room in Aquatica, a water theme park in Rajarhat.

Park manager Kishan Sonkar and another employee, Rajlu Sheikh, who were arrested on Sunday, have been remanded in police custody for four days.

Among the seven held on Monday were six bouncers and an employee of the park.

Police have asked the authorities to keep the park "closed" till they are through with collection of evidence.

Sonkar and Sheikh have been slapped with several sections of the IPC, including 354B (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to disrobe), 354C (voyeurism), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).

The bouncers had initially been detained after another woman complained that she had been harassed and manhandled by them after she forced her way inside the control room where the CCTV footage was being scanned.

"We have asked our forensic experts to examine the hard drives seized from the water park," said Praveen Kumar Tripathi, the superintendent of police, South 24-Parganas.

On Monday, the park authorities accepted the charges of a camera being installed in the ladies' changing room but claimed it was an error. A source said this was the first time since Aquatica opened in 1999 that the park had to be closed because of such charges.

About keeping the park closed, a district police officer said this was done to ensure that the evidence was not tampered with.

The ladies' changing room has been sealed.
