Guwahati, March 16: Gauhati Town Club sealed their place in the semi-finals of the 22nd Guwahati Challenge Trophy for the Balabhadra Oja and Bhabendra Chandra Pathak Trophy defeating Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre by three wickets at Judges Field here today.

Electing to bat, Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre batsmen put up a total of 247 runs for the loss of five wickets in their stipulated 40 overs. Jay Singh Yadav topscored with a fine knock of 102 runs off 84 deliveries.

Nayanjyoti Deka picked up two wickets for 55 in seven overs.

Chasing the total, Gauhati Town Club boys got past the target losing seven wickets in 39.1 overs. Gobinda Rajbongshi topscored for his side with 55 runs off 65 balls. Ranjan Sarkar was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for 25 runs.
