Youth arrested

Gouranga Das, a 24-year-old X-ray machine operator at a diagnostic centre in Shibpur, was arrested on Sunday after he was allegedly caught filming a 22-year-old girl on his cell phone while she was removing clothes in a closed room before an X-ray procedure.

Musician dead

Bassist and former Krosswindz member Dwight Pattison, 51, died in Gangtok on Sunday evening. He had gone to Gangtok on a holiday and suffered a heart attack. Vikramjit ‘Tuki’ Banerjee, guitarist of Krosswindz, said: “Dwight was a great guitar player and a perfectionist. He was also a great songwriter-composer.” Dwight was with the band from 1994 to 1999.
