London: Dutch teenager Max Verstappen has won Formula One's Driver of the Day award for the third time in nine races after finishing second for Red Bull in Austria on Sunday. The 18-year-old, who triumphed in Spain in May to become the sport's youngest race winner, started eighth at Red Bull's home track. He also won the driver award, new for 2016 and voted for by fans after the race and announced the next day, in Spain and Canada.

Hyderabad: Led by Rohit Kumar's heroics, Bengaluru Bulls came up with an impressive performance to outclass Telugu Titans 30-28 in a Pro Kabaddi match here on Tuesday. Rohit Kumar scored 11 raid points for the Bulls and inspired his team to a huge victory.
Advani up
Hyderabad: Ace cueist Pankaj Advani moved to the main draw of the 3rd Indian Open world ranking snooker tournament following a win over world No. 109 Fang Xiongman on the opening day of the championship here. Breaks of 49, 40 and 66 helped him secure a 4-2 win over Xiongman, a release from the organisers said.
Russia case
Moscow: Russia's athletics federation published a list of the 68 athletes who have formally requested to be allowed to compete at the Rio Olympics following a decision to suspend the track and field team.
IFA futsal
Calcutta: The Indian Football Association (IFA), in association with Jagriti Sangha will be organising the Kolkata Futsal League from July 8. East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting will be playing in the five-a-side tournament along with other CFL teams. Mohun Bagan though have decided to skip the meet. The teams will be divided into two groups with the final slated for July 16. In the women's event, six teams will be participating.
DDCA move
New Delhi: The Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) is all set to disburse the entire IPL organisation fees of Rs 12.5 lakh among its 112 groundtsaff and chief curator after getting a go-ahead from Justice Mukul Mudgal.
CAB's plan
Calcutta: The CAB is planning to start the Super League in February next year. This year the tournament started in May. From next season, there will be prize money for the runners-up of the Super League too.
