New Delhi: Mahak Jain and Sathwika Sama thrashed their opponents with ease, as India blanked Sri Lanka 3-0 in their opening Group D match of the junior Fed Cup tennis meet at DLTA Complex, here on Monday. Mahak routed Janali Manamperi 6-0, 6-0 and Sathwika clinched the issue with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Anika Seneviratne in the second singles. In the dead doubles rubber, Sathwika and Shivani Ingle beat Anika and Anya Gunawardene 6-1, 6-2.
AITA meet
Calcutta: Anish Sinha and Ananya Yaday won the U-16 boys and girls titles, respectively, at the Dalhousie Institute Vision Search AITA Talent Series.

PCB coach
Karachi: PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan has said that the new selection committee would be appointed by next week while the new head coach of the national team would be selected by first week of May. The PCB is on the lookout for a new head coach and to appoint new selectors to replace Waqar Younis.
China trip
Calcutta: Meg Lanning, captain of the Australian women's cricket team, is off to China to train with the country's national team in Shanghai. Lanning is part of a joint Cricket Australia and ICC delegation to China, to observe Australia Week.
