Cape Town: India on Monday threw its hat into the 2010 Commonwealth Games ring, submitting its bid to host the 19th edition of the Games before the executive board of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) at its meeting here.

New Delhi’s challenge will come from Hamilton, which also presented its bid Monday. Deadline to submit bids ends on May 30. The ‘winners’ will be announced November 1 after a vote by 72 CGF members. (PTI)
