Calcutta, April 11 :
Nikhil Haldipur's century helped Mohun Bagan beat Wari Sports Club by 83 runs in an A. N. Ghosh cricket match today. Batting first, Bagan amassed 276 runs, including 12 penaty, with Haldipur scoring 120. Amitava Banerjee chipped in with 60.
In reply Wari, despite Munish Jolly's 60, could manage only 193 for eight in their 45 overs.
In another match, Kalighat beat Barisha by eight wickets. Kalighat overhauled Barisha's score of 144 in just 25.1 overs. They scored 146 for the loss of two wickets. Humza Firozie remained unbeaten on 69.
East Bengal registered a big win over City A.C in the third A. N. Ghosh match of the day.
Batting first, East Bengal scored 347 for eight in their 45 overs with Syed Saba Karim making 104 in just 85 balls. Sumit Panda, who put up an allround performance today, scored 69 off 48 balls. In reply, City A.C were bowled out for 65 in 203 overs. Panda grabbed five wickets while Dharmender Singh took three.
