Calcutta: St James' School trounced Welland Gouldsmith 7-0 in the Keventer Cup inter-school football tournament on Saturday. The tournament is organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation.

Aniruddh Ghosh netted a hat-trick and Kiyan Nassiri got a brace, while Zehran Mohsin and Andrew Gomes scored one each as St James' ran roughshod over a hapless Gouldsmith.

Defending champions La Martiniere for Boys also recorded a big win, routing GD Birla 6-1. Bevan Dennis scored a double, while Anmol Kapoor, Brinsley Murray, Sarmanya Bhiwaniwala and Arman Sood netted one each.

Arif Sheikh got the lone goal for the losing side.

In another match, Frank Anthony Public School defeated Don Bosco Liluah 4-0. Shahid Afiridi scored twice, while Ayush Chakraborty and Sayak Sen netted one each.
