The Calcutta giants, who drew 1-1 against Tollygunge Agragami in their opening match, looked determined to earn full points. R.C. Prakash opened the scoring for the home team in the 20th minute and minutes later, Brazilian Santos doubled the lead. A Lolendra Singh shot went off a defender's leg. Nilanjan Roy Majhi pulled one back for the visitors. All four goals were scored in the first half. Calcutta League In group A relegation action, Aryan rode Gouranga Dutta's hattrick to a 4-1 win over Railway FC. CFC beat Md AC 1-0 and City AC beat Rajasthan 2-0.
