Imphal, Feb. 19: TBSFA (B), Tabungkhok, went down to LFA (B), Thingungei, in the State-Level 12th Under-16 TBSFA Football Tournament at Tabungkhok in Imphal West.
N. Bijoy Singh of LFA (B) opened the scoring in the ninth minute and N. Nepolian got the second goal in the 32nd minute.
However, TBSFA player Kishan got the team's first goal in the 42nd minute and teammate Suranjoy Singh consolidated in the 51st minute to level 2-2.
LFA (B) got a reprieve when Dipak Singh conceded an own goal in the 67th minute to deliver the opponent's victory.
In another match, Taning Development Club FC beat MSC Malom 2-1.
Kulu Singh quickfired two goals in two minutes.
MSC Malom chipped in with the lone goal from N. Noacha in the 32nd minute to save the match.
Seven-a-side hockey: The Youth Club-cum-Information Centre, Kontha Ahallup, is organising the fourth Y. Rashmani Memorial Invitation Seven-a-Side Men's Open Hockey Tournament 2016 to begin from Sunday at Idudhou Marjing Ground Kontha Ahallup.
Altogether 12 teams are participating in the hockey meet.
Under-21 football: NFC Sagolband, Moirang Leirak, beat YIC (B), Keishamthong, 6-4 to move into the final of the first YIC Under-21 Men's Football Tournament, 2016, at Keishamthong in Imphal West.
The third place between YIC (B) Keishamthong and KLASA Keinou will be settled tomorrow at 2.30pm.
Hockey: Assam Police will host the 64th All-India Police Hockey Championship from February 22 to 29 at Maulana Md Tayebulla Hockey Stadium here.
About 750 players from 30 different states and central paramilitary forces will participate in the championship.
