A theme song is always an inspiration for a college and the eight-year-old Central IT College has just composed one. The theme song in three languages, Assamese, English and Hind, will be unveiled this week. The song had its first informal audition at Farewell 2008, organised recently for the senior students of the college.

Gyanor poharorey uzolai tulila, adorsho potherey amak aguai nila” is the chorus of the song, translated it means ‘You illuminated us with the light of knowledge, enabled us to march forward along the ideal path”. Composed and set to music by Priyanku Bordoloi, Tridib Basumatary and Anupam Nath, the song has become an instant hit with the students.

Anupam says: “We have always been inspired by the positive atmosphere at the Central IT College and wanted to do something for the college. We are happy that we could present the theme song to the college.”

Earlier, the college had organised a panel discussion on “Facilitation of higher and technical education in Assam”, attended by prominent educationists of Guwahati.
