Imphal, April 15: PTRC Patsoi posted a narrow of five runs over YWC Patsoi in the second MCA Plate Tournament played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Winning the toss, PTRC rode Pradeep Singh's 34 runs to post a total of 137 runs all out from 30 overs. Rex Singh made 27 runs while Johny Singh chipped in with 19 runs.
PTRC bowler Bob was the most successful, picking up three wickets while teammates Hemanta Singh and Priyobrata Singh took two wickets each.
In reply, YWC Patsoi scored 132 runs for nine from 30 overs. Lokeswar Singh scored 33 runs, Bob cracked 27 runs while Priyobrata got 12 runs. Among the PTRC bowler, Rex claimed three wickets while teammates Dipu and Millan fetched two wickets each.
PTRC player Rex was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 27 runs and three wickets.
Social Welfare claim double crown
Social Welfare Club, Hiyanglam, claimed double titles in the regu event of the sub-junior boys and girls in the state-level sepak takraw championship played at SAI RC indoor stadium.
In the sub-junior boys category, Social Welfare Club (A) overcame SAI RC by 2-0 sets with 21-16 and 21-19 points to lay their hands on the champion's title. In the sub-junior girls event, SWC got the better of SAI RC by 2-1 sets with 21-16, 17-21 and 21-17 points for the champion's title.
