Dibrugarh, Oct. 11: Gargaon College defeated Nazira College 5-3 via tiebreaker in a Zone C match of the Dibrugarh University Inter College Football Tournament currently on at the Gargaon College playground in Sivasagar.

The match ended 1-1 at regulation time. Riddip Hondique scored the goal for Gargaon in the 33rd minute which was equalised by Partha Gogoi through a penalty in the 56th minute. In the penalty shootout, Jintu Saikia, Manab Gohain, Riddip Hondique and Mridul Ali scored for Gargaon. Rupam Gogoi and Partha Gogoi scored for Nazira while Junmoni Gogoi and Robin Khanikar missed out.
